COVID-19 and NoMi

Many local businesses depend on the vacation season to survive, yet opening in a post-COVID environment creates new obstacles to a return to normal revenues. First, Michigan’s Governor has taken an aggressive stand against daily activities and small business operations. Agree or not with her position, the trade off for shutting down lifestyles and livelihoods will be felt for many years to come. Even if these restrictions were all lifted tomorrow, there will be fewer visitors this summer due to individual health concerns for the vulnerable. Beyond that, lower density guidelines for restaurants and retailers alike will ensure fewer customers for all. One thing is becoming clear through the din of biased media: fresh air is good! The lakes, trials, and golf courses beckon us all. Regardless of your individual risk tolerance during the Pandemic, be an OUTSIDER!
